Hello kids, Margo here. This is my first post, so go easy on me. Here’s your random trivia for the day: Acording to Naomi, a RN for an OB/GYN I know told me that the two most common- very common in fact- bacteria that infect urinary tracts are strep and E coli. When present in the urinary tract, they cause pain, frequent urge to pee, burning, and discomfort while peeing. They can also lead to more serious conditions like bladder and kidney infections. Bad news bears. Strep like in your throat, you ask? Possibly, there are many different strands. As for E coli, it lives in our digestive system, so it’s not hard to conclude where that infection might come from…..
If you experience these symptoms, get thee to a doctor. Abstain from any genital play, as you don’t want to cross contaminate yourself with MORE bacteria while you’re already susceptible. Also, you don’t want to “spread the wealth” and give it to your partner(s). A simple round of antibiotics and lots of cranberry juice should clear everything right up.
So, what have we learned today? That dental dams, wiping from front to back, never putting anything that’s been in a butt in your kitty, and peeing after vaginal play are all important to keeping your whole body happy! Have fun and be safe y’all.
XOXO,
Margo
