Question:
i purchased the jack rabbit about a yr ago.. it is broken- the rotaion does not work any longer .. as embarassing as this is this is the 4th one i have broken.. will this one last a little longer ??
Answer:
Hm. There are a couple of things I would like to address in this question, because this is something we at Early to Bed get asked a lot. First issue: the fact that women are always so embarrassed when they break their vibrators - as if this is some indication of the bottomless voracity of their sexual appetites (and to that I answer… and the problem is??) or the concern that they “overuse” their toys. Let’s start this answer by throwing those misconceptions out the window. First off– you bought the toy to use and enjoy, yes? So don’t feel ashamed when you use and enjoy it! And secondly- no, it does not mean you are some she-devil with a toothy cunt if you break your toy. These vibrators, sadly, are not meant to last forever.
Phew! Now that we have that out of the way. As to whether Wendy will satisfy you for longer than your previous dual-action toy… it’s hard to say. I’m sorry to be so vague, but there really is no hard and fast rule about which toys will last longer– I have a silver bullet that has been running with no problem since, oh, 2003… while I’ve had other vibes that puttered out within a couple of months.
There are a couple of things to keep in mind with dual-actions, though. One is that a lot of women have a tendency to bend the shaft, either intentionally or unintentionally (while they’re using it) and this can compromise the motor or even break the shaft. You may just need to be aware of whether you’re bending it while you’re using it… that might increase the longevity of the toy. Also, just good toy care will help it last longer… making sure the controls are totally off when you’re done, cleaning it gently (and without getting water in the base), and storing it where it can’t get knocked around.
Believe me, I wish there was a way to ensure that toys lasted longer… or even if there was a way to repair them… hello, vibrator repair-person? But your best bet on a healthy and long life for your vibe is to just make sure you take good care of it. And remember… be proud of your vibrator carcasses!
