So you may or may have not noticed, but a lot of the time when issues relating to sex are talked about in the media, there is often a reactionary or sex negative tone taken by the author. It isn’t very often that you see writing about sex…especially writing about more non-standard sexual practices (BDSM anyone?)… that is fair, honest & sex positive. So to honor & acknowledge the writing of journalists who “produce good, informative journalism that spreads accurate sexual information” the The Sex-Positive Journalism Awards (Sexies) was launched this year.
