Today we received an order for 10 sets of five pairs of latex gloves. One hundred gloves! Now this may have been an ordering mistake, so we’re checking up on it, but I really truly hope it wasn’t. Because in my mind, 100 gloves translates to at least 100 mind-numbing orgasms. You may be thinking, “isn’t that a bit overkill in the safer sex department?” or “rubber gloves are not at all sexy unless its a medical scene,” which are comments I regularly get during workshops. Not so.
First of all, they look hot. There is something undeniably sexy about a lover’s hand covered in lubed up black latex. Ooooh shiny! Secondly, they feel amazing. Bare hands are not always the ideal tool for exploration of delicate tissues. If you’re anything like me, your fingers are a wee bit rough around the edges: callouses, longish nails, paper cuts, and traces of paint or other chemicals. None of these feel particularly sexy and most of them can be dangerous, especially during anal or rougher vaginal play. Slap on a lubed up rubber glove and your hand is magically clean, smooth, and friction-free.
