Pleasure, That's The Purpose 

Pleasure, That's the Purpose is a two-hour in-person workshop on desire, intimacy, and sexual wellbeing — while designed for those who identify as women and who want to understand how their bodies and minds actually work, all are welcome to attend.  

Grounded in research, this session explores the science of wanting and pleasure, what drives desire (and what gets in the way), and why diminished desire in long-term relationships is often less about losing the spark than losing touch with yourself. Practical, shame-free, and genuinely useful.

Bio: 

Shonda Smith, LPC, AMFT, SPHR, is a licensed therapist and emerging sexuality educator with over 30 years of experience supporting people through their most meaningful relationships. She specializes in couples and relational therapy, drawing on Relational Life Therapy, Imago, and solution-focused approaches to help clients build more honest, intentional connections — including the one they have with their own bodies and desires.

Shonda brings both clinical depth and real-world wisdom to her work, helping people get honest about the stories they've been living in, and build something better.

Workshops are held at our Chicago store - 5138 N Clark St. You must be 18 years old to attend a workshop.

There are no refunds on ticket purchases. If you cancel up to 2 days before the workshop you will be issued a store credit for your ticket purchase price. If you cancel later than that or do not show, no credits will be issued. 

Face masks are required at all events. We will happily provide you one if you forget yours.
